NEWARK, NJ - Grant Billmeier was officially introduced as the 12th head coach in NJIT men's basketball history on Thursday afternoon in the Wellness and Events Center.
Billmeier and his family were welcomed into #HighlanderNation during an hour-long ceremony that included speeches from America East Commissioner Brad Walker, NJIT President Dr. Teik C. Lim, and Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics Lenny Kaplan, in addition to Billmeier himself.Â

Billmeier, a New Jersey native who brings a wealth of experience to NJIT, wasÂ
announced as the 12th men's basketball coach in program history earlier this month. This past season, the Seton Hall graduate helped lead Maryland to the NCAA Tournament where the Terrapins advanced to the second round and also coached at his alma mater for 11 seasons over two stints.Â
