Records Fall As Track And Field Starts 2023-24 At Wagner Shootout

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The 2023-24 season for the NJIT track and field programs kicked off on Friday evening as the Highlanders made their season debut in the Wagner College Shootout at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

HIGHLANDER VICTORIES
The top performance of the event came from freshman Jordan Lindinger-Asamoah. The newcomer from Austria won the triple jump in his collegiate debut with a school-record leap of 15.12m (49-07.25).

Mile: Nadia Zhecheva (5:13.01, 3rd)
3000 Meters: Sarah Van Ornum (10:14.46, 4th)
60 Meters: Nia Holloway (7.75, 5th)
Women's 4x200 Relay: 3rd (1:44.02)

300 Meters: Maddie Stevens (39.51, 4th)
MIle: Anthony Dvorsky (4:21.34, 4th)
600 Meters: Hayley Lucido (1:38.02, 5th)
