WEST POINT, N.Y. --- NJIT Women's Tennis doubles duo Sandra Dzhambazov and Sofia Pinedo have been elevated into the main draw of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division I Women's Northeast Super Regional Championships, being held this week on the campus of Army West Point.

Dzhambazov and Pinedo will take part in Super Regionals after reaching the quarterfinals of the ITA Northeast Regionals at Columbia earlier this month, The duo will face Polina Kozyreva and Maria Ines Fonte of Syracuse on Saturday, October 21 at 1 p.m.

"Sani and Sofia are ready for this opportunity to play at Super Regionals. This doubles tournament is an elite draw of 16 teams. These women have worked hard this fall as individuals and as a doubles team and I'm excited to see what they can accomplish," head coach Patricia Piorkowski McDonald said of the pair.
