More Records Fall For Track and Field At Final Day of Larry Ellis Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. — The NJIT track and field teams finished the two–day Princeton Larry Ellis Invitational on Saturday evening.

The Highlander women led the way for both programs, producing five different NJIT records by the end of the meet:

4x100 relay: Nia Holloway, Sydne Nance, Lillian Williams, Jadyn Otto - 48.87
400 meters: Sydne Nance - 56.16 (7th place)
800 meters: Stuti Vyas - 2:17.92; Nadia Zhecheva - 2:19.28 (freshman record)
4x400 relay: Grace Burke, Nadia Zhecheva, Stuti Vyas, Sydne Nance - 3:59.28

OTHER TOP PERFORMANCES

Matt Bacchi, Eugene Graves III, Michael Girock, Jacob Leigh - 6th in 4x400 relay (3:19.71)

NJIT will keep competing in New Jersey next week, traveling south to Lawrenceville for the Rider Invitational on Saturday, April 23.
