Women’s Fencing Goes 6-1 at Drew Invitational

Highlanders start off the 2021 campaign with a 12-1 mark


MADISON, NJ--The NJIT women's fencing team picked up where they left off at the start of the 2021 season, combining for a 6-1 record at the Drew Invitational paced by Dominika Pawlowska who went 11-1.

NJIT, which has started off its 2021 campaign with a 12-1 mark, recorded wins over Florida, Wellesley, Stevens, Denison, Fairleigh Dickinson and Army.  The lone loss of the season came against Princeton.

Pawlowska recorded a 11-1 mark in women's epee competition followed by Marina Arrese who posted a 10-2 record.

Paloma Almodovar led the foil squad with eight wins and Cassandra Sehic posted a 9-3 record in the saber competition.

NJIT will return to action on November 13-14 when the Highlanders compete at the Air Force Invitational.
