Quote from Head Coach Al Alonso: "Billy is a four-year member of the Throws group. Billy made an immediate impact his freshman year, breaking the freshman discus record and he is currently the No. 2 all-time mark for the shot put and made the top-five in the discus at NJIT. While at NJIT, he has volunteered to take on leadership roles in the program. His expertise as a Food cell leader helped him make quick friends on the team (especially among throwers!) He held progressive leadership positions within the program from cell leader to event group leader to captain this past Fall. He completed his Bachelor of Civil Engineering this past December. He went straight from an internship to Full time employment with ARCO Design and Build Industrial Company. The throws group is still fairly young at NJIT but I am sure he will be instrumental moving it further up the conference ranks. I am sure he won't miss out on the opportunity to come back and throw as an Alumni."
