Women's Tennis Closes Out Columbia Invitational

NEW YORK, N.Y. --- The NJIT women's tennis team wrapped up its first fall tournament of the season on Sunday afternoon with the completion of the Columbia University Invitational at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center.

Despite losses on the final day, three Highlanders - Joleta Budiman, Shamika Dhar, and Advaita Saravanan - ended their respective flights with fourth place finishes

"Overall, this tournament was a great event to participate in and get to compete against very strong teams early in the year," head coach Zaki Abdelrahman said after the conclusion of the tournament. "It is beneficial to know where we stand and what we need to work on
to keep improving. We will take the positives and build on them before our next Invitational at Army West Point."
