NEWARK, N.J. --- This past week, the NJIT men's and women's track and field programs competed at a pair of meets: the 125th running of the prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia and the 2019 Peacock/Brick City Classic hosted by NJIT & Saint Peter's.
PENN RELAYS
Pritinder Singh produced the best result of the meet for NJIT, earning a bronze medal in the Decathlon with a new school record 5910 points. Singh finished in the top three in half of the ten events, including a runner-up finish in the 1500 meters.

BRICK CITY
Sunday's meet, jointly hosted by the Highlanders and Peacocks, saw NJIT collect seven overall victories. The Highlander women secured five of those wins, with
Sara Wells earning a pair of individual wins and
Chloe Jelley taking the 800 meters and helping the 4x400 relay take top honors.
