The NJIT men's and women's indoor track and field teams had a busy weekend, competing at the 112th NYRR Millrose Games, Monmouth Invitational and Fast Track National Invitation over the weekend.

MEN
- Freshman Gavin Camby placed second in the men's 800 meter run with a time of 2:01.18
- Andrew Shenoda finished in the top 5 in the men's 800 meter run and ninth in the men's mile run at 4:36.14
- Senior Mike Russell captured the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:45,80, good for 10 points
- Junior Rob Spies placed fourth in the 5000 meter run at 16:11.11
WOMEN
- Sydne Nance captured two titles Saturday -- 200 meter title, clocking in with a time of 26.23; 400 meter, crossing the finish line at 59.34
- Sarah Morgan finished in the top 5 in the 500 meter run; Morgan clocked in at 1:22.97
- Chloe Jelley placed ninth in the 500 meter run
- Freshman Stuti Vyas placed fifth in the 1000 meter run at 3:10.84
- Sophomore Miku Okada took sixth in the women's high jump with a height of 9.75
Fast Track National Invitation
- Two Highlanders -- Calvin Gould and Brandon Kong competed in the men's pole vault on Friday at the Fast Track National Invitation on Friday, February 8 at Ocean Breeze Complex
- Gould, a junior from Ringwood, NJ, placed 16th overall with a height of 4.40m
- Kong, a sophomore from Bridgewater, NJ, placed 22nd overall with a height of 4.25m
NJIT will break for a week and return to action at the Fast Track Last Chance on February 15 in Staten Island before competing at the Indoor ASUN Track and Field Championships on February 22-23, hosted by Liberty.
