Pink Day for KSU Athletics
"Trust me now, believe me later." -
Coach Agnus Berenato
Kennesaw State women's basketball coach Agnus Berenato has watched her teams battle on the hardwood for 32 seasons, but now she is in the middle of a new battle off the court.
"Unfortunately, breast cancer, or cancer period, is not new to me. I am now a statistic and will do whatever it takes to beat this disease. My mother and brother passed from cancer and I have a sister who is a breast cancer survivor. The treatment is so good and the cure rate is so high. I am ready to fight. I have been an advocate for cancer patients my entire life, and will continue to educate the young ladies I coach about this terrible disease," said Berenato.
Join the Kennesaw State basketball teams as they play host to Pink Day on Saturday (Feb. 9) against NJIT to promote cancer awareness and start a new scholarship at KSU for a student who has battled cancer. To help us reach our goal of $50,000 to endow scholarship on Coach Berenato's behalf, Kennesaw State basketball is raising money through a silent auction, t-shirt sales, lantern sales and donations. To donate, click
HERE.

Coach Berenato did not want Pink Day to only be about raising funds for a new scholarship but also about education. Prior to the game, fans can participate and take advantage of wellness screenings and cancer informational stations by WellStar. The Susan G. Komen Foundation will be represented at Pink Day.

Before the game, KSU Basketball is asking survivors and those who are remembering loved ones to join us on the court to be recognized and be on the court for lineups! We also invite survivors, loved ones and all fans to join us for a Pink Walk during halftime!
