NEWARK, NJ—NJIT women's basketball will look to continue their winning ways on Tuesday when the Highlanders host Fairleigh Dickinson at 7pm inside NJIT's Wellness and Events Center.

Highlanders Win Streak
NJIT has won three straight (first time since 2016-17) and picked up its first road victory of the season coming off a 61-51 win at Hartford.

The Highlanders will meet Knights for the 13th all-time meeting and looks to improve to 5-8 in the series with a win. FDU defeated NJIT last season, 64-43 on November 20 in Hackensack. The last time NJIT won at home against Fairleigh Dickinson was on Dec. 19, 2013, winning 84-71.

NJIT extended its win streak to three behind three double-figure scorers and two double-doubles from
Danielle Tunstall and
Milena Bajic in the Highlanders 61-52 victory over Hartford in women's basketball non-conference action at the Chase Arena at Reich Family Pavilion.
Senior forward
Milena Bajic notched her third straight double-double of the season, netting a team-best 15 points and career-best 14 rebounds. Bajic has now posted a double-double in three-out-of-four games played this season. She finished 4-for-8 from the field and perfect from the free throw line, 6-of-6.
Classmate
Danielle Tunstall recorded her fourth double-double of the season, finishing with 13 points and 11 rebounds, including a huge block on Jada Lucas three-point try with :18 seconds left.
Redshirt freshman guard
Maddie Martin netted 14 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the field, 2-of-3 from three-point range and was perfect from the free throw line, shooting 4-for-4.
NJIT's
Kenna Squier chipped in eight points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out a team-best four assists while
Samantha Schultz added seven points and four rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench for the Highlanders.
Scouting the Highlanders
After dropping its first six contests of the season against a challenging schedule, visiting Air Force and Colorado and hosting defending Ivy League Champions Penn, the Highlanders are on fire, winning its last three in a row.
NJIT is led by three double-figure scorers –
Danielle Tunstall (11.6ppg),
Milena Bajic (11.3ppg) and
Kenna Squier (11.0ppg).
Bajic, reigning College Sports Madness Mid-Major Conference Player of the Week in the ASUN, has combined for three straight double-doubles in four games played this season. In the Highlanders 2-0 week, Bajic averaged 16.0ppg and 13.5rpg while shooting 44.4 percent from the field. On the season, Bajic tops the Highlanders with 9.8rpg.
Tunstall, who has posted four double-doubles on the season, ranks second in the ASUN with 9.7rpg and third in blocks (18; 2.0bpg).
Squier, the Highlander freshman guard, is shooting 51.4% from the field while ranking third on the team in rebounding (5.0) and second in assists (20) and steals (12).
Junior guard
Ellyn Stoll and redshirt freshman
Maddie Martin are averaging 8.2ppg and 7.8ppg respectively for the Highlanders. Stoll paces the Highlanders with 15 three-point field goals and Martin has dished out a team-best 33 assists, including at least one assist in eight out of nine games.
Greek Night
It's Greek Night at the WEC as all the fraternities and sororities of NJIT will be in attendance. The Greeks will compete on the court in games and will bring their Highlander School Spirit to root on the Highlanders!
Scouting the Knights of FDU
Fairleigh Dickinson enters Tuesday's contest (0-7) in search of its first win of the season under first-year head coach Angelika Szumilo.
The Knights fought a close battle with Howard University on Saturday afternoon with three players reaching double-digit point totals but fell on the road, 64-56.
Three Knights scored in double figures, led by Madison Stanley with 15 points to go with three rebounds. Playing in her hometown, freshman Aniya Bell poured in 14 points for her first career game in double figures, and senior Lauren Francillon notched 11 points while grabbing seven rebounds as well.
Stanley is the lone Knight averaging double-figures (13.1ppg) and shooting 45 percent from the field. Stanley has scored in double-digits in four out of six games for the Knights. Francillion tops the team with 8.3rpg.
