Women’s Fencing Competes at Elite Invitational

PHILADELPHIA—The NJIT women's fencing team competed at the Elite Invitational this past weekend hosted by Penn.

The Highlander women competed against Norte Dame, Temple, Yale, Air Force and Penn State. The lone win on the day for the Highlanders, a 16-11 win, came against Air Force.

On the foil strip, Paloma Almodovar led the Highlanders with 10 wins while Marina Arrese in epee competition recorded 10 wins of her own.

Freshman Dorottya Berczy paced the women in sabre competition with a 12-3 overall mark.
