Cross Country Runs At NCAA Mid-Atlantic Championships

BETHLEHEM, PA. --- The NJIT men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Lehigh University to compete at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Friday afternoon.

In the men's race, NJIT ended up in 22nd place overall (553 pts, 2:45:10 total, 33:02 average) on the 10K course. The Highlanders' top finisher was Gerard Gil, who logged a time of 32:08 and cracked the top 75 individually (69th place).

The Highlander women ended the 6K meet in 31st place (964 pts, 2:01:23 total, 24:17 average), with Kelly DiCristina running NJIT's fastest race (23:31.1, 177th).

NEXT UP
Any eligible Highlander runners will compete next Saturday, November 23 at the IC4A/ECAC Championships.
