NEWARK, NJ--NJIT forward Rene White has been selected College Soccer News National Team of the Week for October 6, 2019 the organization announced.
The College Soccer News National Team of the Week recognizes individuals performances on both sides of the ball from coast to coast who had a significant impact on the success that their teams enjoyed during the week.
White continues to be a force on the offensive side of the ball for NJIT as the forward scored four goals last week for the Highlanders, becoming NJIT's Division I all-time goal scorer.
He scored twice in NJIT's 2-2 double overtime draw with La Salle and netted a pair of goals in the Highlanders 5-0 shutout victory over VMI on Saturday.
White has scored 11 times this year, ranking first in the ASUN in goals (11) and points (23).
In the last two matches, he has scored four goals and registered at least one goal in 7 of NJIT's 11 matches.
He has netted a pair of goals in four of NJIT's 11 matches this season.
White was selected ASUN Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for October 7.
