NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT men's soccer team will welcome UMBC on Tuesday, November 4 at 6pm in the regular season finale.

Kickoff is slated for 6pm at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium on ESPN+ with in-game statistics available on NJITHighlanders.com 

All-Time Series
UMBC leads the all-time series, 4-2-1.  The Retrievers hold a 2-0-1 overall mark in the last three meetings.  NJIT won a pair of games in Spring 20221.

Last Time Out
The NJIT men's soccer team scored a late goal in the second half but it wasn't enough as No. 7 Bryant held on for a 2-1 victory over visiting NJIT Friday night at Beirne Stadium in America East Conference action.

America East Standings/Scenarios Heading into the Final Regular Season Match
Heading into the final regular season match at home on Tuesday, November 4, NJIT sits in seventh place with four points and a 1-4-1 overall mark in the league.

UMBC, who the Highlanders will host on Tuesday night, picked up a 4-0 win over Binghamton on Friday night, improved to 2-3-1 and sits with seven points.

A win on Tuesday for the Highlanders, will clinch a spot in the 2025 America East Conference Postseason Tournament.

Devin Armstrong - NCAA Rankings
–Senior Devin Armstrong combined for a personal-best 12 saves against No. 24 Cornell.
–The 12 saves are the most by a Highlander goalkeeper since Collin Cunning combined for 13 saves at Maryland on October 26, 2005.
–His 12 saves in a single-game ranks tied for second in the NCAA (as of 9/25/25).
–Armstrong's 11-save performance against UMass Lowell on October 18, ranks the senior goalkeeper tied for third in a single-game.
–Armstrong ranks tied for 13th in the NCAA in total saves (65) as of 10/26.

Scouting the Highlanders
–NJIT enters Saturday's contest with a 3-9-4 overall mark, 1-4-1 in the America East.
–The lone win in league action for NJIT came against Binghamton, a 1-0 victory in Vestal, NY.
–The Highlanders have seven players – Henrique Sardinha, Sergio Martinez Cubel, Cristian LoGrasso, Caio Carrara, Junee Lee, Patrick Kierzkowski and Jake Rubis with one goal each.
–Martinez Cubel leads the team with three assists and five points.
–Armstrong leads the America East in total saves (65) while ranking tied for third in shutouts (5) and first in saves per game (4.06).

Scouting UMBC
–UMBC enters Tuesday's match with a 6-6-3 overall mark, 2-3-1 in the America East.
–The Retrievers are winners of two in a row and undefeated in their last three matches (tie at George Washington, 3-3), (win at UMass Lowell, 2-0) and (win vs. Binghamton, 4-0).
–Brady Geho paces the Retrievers with seven goals and two assists for 16 points. Geho ranks tied for second in the America East in goals and in points.

NJIT will conclude the regular season on Tuesday when the Highlanders host UMBC on Senior Night.  Kickoff is slated for 6pm on ESPN+.  Pregame ceremonies will begin around 5:45pm.
