NEWARK, NJ—NJIT (5-12, 2-2 ASUN) hits the road for the second time in ASUN Conference play, visiting Stetson (7-11, 2-2 ASUN) on Tuesday inside the Edmunds Center in DeLand, Florida. Tip-off is slated for 7pm on ESPN+.

Danielle Tunstall led NJIT with her fifth double-double of the season (11 points, 10 rebounds) while
Kelly Guarino paced the Highlanders for the fifth straight game, scoring 18 points, sinking four three-pointers and finishing 6-of-8 from the free throw line.

A Look Inside the Highlander Squad
NJIT enters Saturday's contest with a 5-12 overall record, 2-2 in the ASUN.
NJIT and Stetson both sit tied in fourth, heading into Tuesday's contest. NJIT registered its first ASUN win in league action at home against Kennesaw State on January 5, 66-60, to open the New Year and topped the Lipscomb, 80-67, for the Highlanders second league victory.
The Highlanders, begin a new era under first-year head coach
Mike Lane, who comes to NJIT after spending six seasons at Bucknell University as the top assistant coach, where he helped guide the Bison to a program-best 27-6 mark, Patriot League title and conference championship while earning a berth to the NCAA Tournament in 2017.
Guarino, who ranks in the top three in the ASUN in points-per-game (15.1), tops the conference in three-pointers made (56) and free throw percentage (85.5) while sitting in fourth in three-point percentage (41.1). She has scored in double-figures in the last 11-out-of-12 games, including three 20+ performances.
Tunstall, who is coming off her fifth double-double of the season, ranks fourth in the ASUN in rebounding (8.1rpg), posting double-digit rebounds in the last six-out-of-10 games.
Closing in on 1,000
Guarino has scored 970 points in her career. She is 30 points shy of becoming the ninth player in school history to reach the 1000-point milestone.
Scouting the Hatters
Stetson, riding a two-game losing streak, is 6-2 at home, most recently dropping a pair of ASUN Conference games on the road at North Florida (71-57) and North Alabama (71-55).
McKenna Beach, who was named ASUN Conference Player of the Week on January 14, recorded her first career triple-double and ninth triple-double in school history, registering 20 points, 10 rebounds, and a career-high 11 assists against Lipscomb on January 12.
Beach has started in every game this season for the Hatters, averaging 12.8ppg. Her 78 assists and 40 steals rank second in the ASUN.
ASUN Preseason Player of the Year Sarah Sagerer tops the team, averaging 15.0ppg. Sagerer, who did not play in the last two games, last played against Liberty, scoring 20 points, leading four Hatters in double-figures. It marked the 200
th coaching win for head coach Lynn Bria.
Stetson's Addi Walters ranks in the top five in three-point percentage (39.4) in the ASUN, shooting 37-94.
ASUN Preseason Coaches' Poll
After winning last year's ASUN Conference women's basketball championship title, FGCU was picked to repeat by the league's head coaches in the 2018-19. The Eagles garnered eight first-place votes among the head coaches in the league, while also being selected first in the media poll.
FGCU totaled 80 points in the coaches' poll to lead the way, while newcomer Liberty earned the final first-place vote and finished second place with 71 points.
Stetson came in third with 63 points while the Dolphins finished 10 points behind the Hatters in the coaches' poll with 53 points.
Kennesaw State and North Florida were picked fifth and sixth, respectively, while Lipscomb, North Alabama and NJIT rounded out the coaches poll selections.
