Scouting the Highlanders
The Highlanders enter the week at 4-1-1 on the year, riding a four-match win streak. NJIT picked up wins against Rider (2-0), UMass Lowell (1-0), Fairfield (4-1) and Iona (1-0). The double overtime tie came against LIU Brooklyn and the lone loss on the season was against two-time defending MAAC Regular Season and Tournament Champions Monmouth.
Freshman
Fiona Wright leads the team with three goals and
Katrina Nguyen-DeMary paces the Highlanders with three assists. Her three assists ranks fourth in the ASUN Conference.
Sapirman has played every minute in goal for the Highlanders, allowing just two goals and boasting a .913 save percentage. The graduate student ranks first in goals against (2), goals against average (0.32) and save percentage (.913) while ranking fifth in total saves (21) in the ASUN Conference.
Scouting the Bobcats
Despite seeing a one-goal lead disappear on three separate occasions, Quinnipiac (2-4) secured the victory, 4-3, on a double-overtime goal by redshirt junior captain Kylie Lance. Lance scored the third goal of her career on Thursday, as the defender has now tallied once in each of her three seasons as a Bobcat. All three of her career goals are of the game-winning variety.
Lauren Triglione's goal at UMass Lowell was her third of the season and her career.
Kelsey Goldring the 2017 MAAC Co-Rookie of the Year, scored her first goal of the season and sixth of her career at UMass Lowell.
Junior goalkeeper Olivia Myszewski posted the ninth clean sheet of her career in Quinnipiac's win over Bryant and earned her 19th career win at UMass Lowell. She ranks sixth in program history in both clean sheets and victories.
