TEANECK, NJ – NJIT women's fencing posted a 4-1 record at the FDU Invitational on Sunday, hosted by FDU.
The Highlanders posted wins over Wagner (23-4), Hunter (17-10), Drew (14-13) and CCNY (21-6).
The women's epee squad posted a 36-9 overall record on the day, led by
Maria Sztan who went 13-1 at the invite.
Jule Shigihara grabbed a 11-3 overall record and
Christy Hernandez went 9-5.
Annalena Shigihara led the NJIT foil squad notching a 10-2 record with 3-0 wins over Hunter Drew and CCNY.
Julia Garcia only faced John Hopkins, Hunter and Drew earning herself a 6-3 record.
Next up for the Highlanders will be the NCCA Regional Championships, held on March 10
th and hosted by Lafayette.
