DURHAM, NC— NC Central scored a single run in the seventh, eighth and ninth inning, including a game-tying home run by Zach Michalski in the eighth and game-winning run on a wild pitch with one out in the ninth, as the Eagles rallied past NJIT, 4-3, in game two of the three game series on Saturday afternoon at Durham Athletic Park.
NJIT (0-2) scored the first run of the game in the top of the second on a sacrifice fly to center field by C

Jesse Uttendorfer, who singled to lead off the inning.
NC Central (4-2) evened the score at 1-1 in the bottom of the second on a sacrifice fly to left field by Michalski.
The Highlanders took a 3-1 lead in the top of the fourth inning on a RBI double to right center by Uttendorfer and double down the right field line by 2B

Justin Etts led off the inning with a triple and scored on Uttendorfer's double.
In the seventh for NC Central, 2B Corey Joyce singled through the left side scoring Carter Williams, who led off the inning with a walk.
Michalski hit a solo home run in the eighth to tie the score a 3-3 and with bases loaded and one out the Eagles scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch.
For NJIT, Brady finished 3-for-4 with one RBI while Uttendorfer and RF
Matthew Cocciadiferro went 2-for-4. Uttendorfer drove in a run and scored a pair of Highlander runs.
NC Central junior relief pitcher Justice Sampson (1-1) tossed three hitless innings with four strikeouts to earn the victory.
NJIT's
Chris Gibbons (0-1) was credited with the loss.

Sean Lubreski, making a return to the diamond after red shirting last season, went 5.0 innings, letting up five hits and one run while
Johnny Malatesta, the the second Highlander pitcher, pitched two innings, allowing two hits and one run.
The Highlanders will conclude the three-game series at NC Central on Sunday at 10:30am.
