Biography

2022: Played in all 53 games making 52 starts and playing almost every inning of the season at first base...best offensive season as a four-year starter for the Highlanders, hitting a career-high .295, while also setting career-bests in runs (37), RBIs (28), doubles (12), and home runs (six)....30 walks are third all-time in a season for a Highlander...three RBI in season-opener vs. Bellarmine (2/18) and against vs. UMBC (4/15)....also had three, three-hit games.

2021: One of three Highlanders to play in all 51 games, making starts in 50 of them at first base...had a pair of three-hit games against UMass Lowell (4/2) and Maine (4/9)...scored the first run of the game on a passed ball in NJIT's 3-2 NCAA Tournament win vs. Northeastern.

2020: Played in all 16 games, making 15 starts, in season cut short due to COVID-19 Pandemic...hit three-run HR in top of the 10th inning to lift NJIT past Bucknell on 2/16...season-high three hits and six RBI in the aforementioned victory over Bucknell...knocked in 12 runs on the season, which tied for the second-most on the squad.

2019: Produced a strong sophomore season, batting .291, which ranked fourth on the team, played every game but one (44). ... his 48 hits sits in fourth, 11 doubles paced the Highlanders this season while posting 23 RBI and four home runs, which was tied for fourth. ... combined for 350 putouts at first base. ... first collegiate home run vs. Eastern Michigan (Feb. 17).
 
2018:
Played in 19 games in his first season at NJIT with five at-bats and two runs.

Prior to NJIT: The 6-foot first baseman was ranked the No. 1 first baseman in New Jersey and in the top 500 nationally, cited by Perfect Game.   A three-time All-Conference honoree and two-time first-team All-Star in the Tri-County Conference Diamond Division, Hussey led Deptford in capturing the 2015 Conference Champion title.  He played for Deptford Legion and All Out Baseball.
