NJIT will visit Jacksonville on Monday evening at The Historic Swisher Gymnasium. Tip is slated for 7pm.
The Highlanders (4-23, 2-10 ASUN) are coming off a regular season series sweep over North Florida with a 66-62 win on Saturday while Jacksonville (20-7, 10-2 ASUN) won its fourth straight with a 65-49 win over USC Upstate.

All-Time Series
Jacksonville leads the all-time series, 5-0. In the last meeting in Newark, Jacksonville recorded an 88-58 victory.
Kayla Gordon registered a double-double with 22 points and 19 rebounds while redshirt junior
Tatianna Torres paced the Highlanders with 16 points and seven assists followed by
Kelly Guarino with 15 points (all from behind the arc). Senior forward
Taj Lewis scored 10 points and freshman
Dez Allen came off the bench to score nine points.
Scouting the Dolphins (20-7, 10-2 ASUN)
Jacksonville, winners of four straight and last five-out-of-six contests, enters Monday, coming off a 65-49 victory over USC Upstate.
With the win over USC Upstate, the Dolphins have reached 20 wins for the third consecutive season under head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin.
Kayla Gordon (12 points, 13 rebounds) and Naqaiyyah Teague (13 points, 10 rebounds) each tallied a double-double to lead the Dolphins. Jasmyn Brown scored a game-high 14 points, and Brandi Buie added in 11 points.
The Dolphins overpowered USC Upstate on the glass, pulling down 44 rebounds compared to the Spartan's 24. Of the Dolphins' boards, 26 were defensive as the Spartans were only held to six offensive rebounds.
Three players are averaging double-digits for the Dolphins, led by Brown (13.9ppg), Gordon (11.7ppg) and Buie (11.5ppg). Gordon's 9.6rpg tops the ASUN and her 50.0 field goal percentage ranks third.
Last season, the Dolphins finished 23-9 overall, 11-3 in the ASUN, falling in the finals of the ASUN Conference Tournament to FGCU (68-64). Jacksonville made it's first-ever appearance in the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) against Georgia Tech. The 23-wins ties the program's single-season win mark.

Kelly Guarino scored a game-high 24 points, leading visiting NJIT to a regular season series sweep over North Florida, 66-62.
NJIT) picks up the programs first-ever regular season series sweep in the ASUN Conference since joining the league (first season 2015-16). The Highlanders also snap a 16-game losing streak on the road, which dates back to January 28, 2017, when NJIT defeated Lipscomb, 76-68.
Guarino tied her career-best mark 24 points (last time at Virginia – December 15, 2015), shooting 8-for-13 from the field, 6-of-10 from three-point range and 2-of-2 from the charity strip. The six three-pointers are a season-best (one-shy her career-best 7 three-pointers at Virginia).
The Highlanders are paced by Guarino and
Tatianna Torres, who are averaging 11.6ppg. Torres tops the team in rebounds (5.3rpg) (tied for first) assists (87) and steals (48).
Guarino, who paces the Highlanders with 49 three-point field goals made, is ranked third in the ASUN in 38.3 three-point field goal percentage.
Taj Lewis, who ranks first in the ASUN in field goal percentage, is shooting 51.0 percent while averaging 8.7ppg.
ASUN Conference Tournament
The eight-team, three-round 2018 ASUN Women's Basketball Tournament spans from March 2-11 and will be held on campus sites. The quarterfinals begin on March 2 and the semifinals on March 7. The 2018 ASUN Tournament Champion will be crowned on March 11.
