LYNCHBURGH, VA – NJIT men's and women's track concludes the ASUN Indoor Championships hosted by Liberty on Saturday.
The Highlander men placed 5
th, while the women came in sixth.
Blake Brancato finished third in the 5000 meter run coming in at 15:01.58 earning six points for his team.
Michael Haraka came in fourth in the weight throw, with a distance of 14.75m.
Taking fifth place in their respective events were
Issa Feknous in the triple jump and
Daniel Leung in the 50 meter dash.
Ryan Budhu placed sixth in 400 meter run clocking in at 50.03.
The last two events of the championships were the 4x400 meter relays. The women came in third with the help of
Trish Roche,
Ayanna Garrett, Kristina Boafa and
Sydne Nance coming in at 4:05.35. The men placed fourth in the even including
Ali Merdan,
Michael Girock,
Acacio Escada and
Ryan Budhu coming in at 3:23.80.
The Highlanders next meet is the Fast Track Last Chance Meet on February 24 on Staten Island.
