NEWARK, NJ—After a 1-1 mark in the NJIT Thanksgiving Classic, the Highlanders will close out the month of November visiting Rider in Lawrenceville, NJ on November 28. Tip-off is slated for 7pm on ESPN+.

All-Time Series
Rider leads the all-time series, 2-1. Rider picked up a 79-64 victory last season in Newark. The last time NJIT defeated the Broncs dates back to November 12, 2012, with a 53-51 victory in Lawrenceville.
Last Time Out
Southeast Missouri used a 9-0 run in the final 1:23 of the game to slip past NJIT, 68-58, in the final game of the NJIT Thanksgiving Classic Sunday afternoon at the Wellness and Events Center.
In a closely-contested match, which featured 15 lead changes and seven ties, the Highlanders took its last lead of the game, 52-50, with 5:12 on the clock in the fourth quarter after a layup by
Tatianna Torres.
The Redhawks (2-4) went on a 15-4 run over the last 4:45 to secure the win, paced by Tesia Thompson's team-high 15 points and eight rebounds.
NJIT was paced by sophomore guard
Ellyn Stoll's game-best 18 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field, 4-for-5 from three-point range and 4-of-6 from the charity strip. Stoll pulled down six rebounds and shared game-high honors, dishing out four assists.
Graduate student
Kelly Guarino combined for 16 points on 4-of-9 from beyond the arc, including four rebounds.

Kelly Guarino scored a career-best 26 points and head coach
Mike Lane registered his first win as a Division I head coach in NJIT's 79-71 victory over Western Carolina in the NJIT Thanksgiving Classic Saturday afternoon.
Lane comes to NJIT after spending six seasons at Bucknell University as the top assistant coach, where he helped guide the Bison to a program-best 27-6 mark, Patriot League title and conference championship while earning a berth to the NCAA Tournament in 2017.
Three Highlanders are averaging double-figures through seven games, paced by
Kelly Guarino's 13.9ppg.
The 5-foot-8 guard tops the team in three pointers (23) while ranking first in the ASUN Conference and tied for 17
th in the nation in free throw percentage (.947) and ranks second in the league in three-point percentage (46.9) and three-pointers made (23).
She has scored in double-figures in five of the Highlanders seven games, including two 20-point performances.
Junior forward
Danielle Tunstall sits in second with 11.6ppg and sits atop the rebounding category, averaging 6.9rpg. Her 6.9rpg ranks fifth in the ASUN.
Sophomore
Ellyn Stoll is averaging 11.1ppg and has dished out 17 assists, which ranks second and posted seven steals, which leads the Highlanders.
Scouting the Broncs
Rider comes into Wednesday's game with a 2-4 overall record, most recently coming off a 112-61 loss vs. Boston College on November 25. Prior to the game against the Eagles, Rider won two straight -- against Mount St. Mary's (85-67) and Saint Joseph's (56-54).
Last week, junior Stella Johnson was selected Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Week. Johnson recorded the second triple-double in program history to lead the Broncs to an 85-67 victory over Mount St. Mary's.
She scored a career-high 35 points on 14-of-19 shooting, including hitting 6-of-8 from three-point range and grabbed 12 rebounds and tied a career-high with 10 assists.
It marked the first triple-double in program history to be done with points, assists and rebounds and it was the first triple-double for the Broncs since February of 1995. The triple-double was the first for a MAAC player since January of 2005. Johnson paces the Broncs in points (21.3ppg), assists (28), steals (17), three-pointers made (15) and ranks third in rebounding (5.3).
The other double-figure scorer for the Broncs is Amari Johnson, who is averaging 11.5ppg and tops the squad on the glass with 6.5rpg.
A year ago, Rider finished 14-17 overall and earned the No. 5 seed in the MAAC Tournament after, posting a 10-8 mark in league action. The Broncs were picked fourth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
