JACKSONVILLE, FL – NJIT baseball dropped game two of their three game series, 16-1 against North Florida on Friday afternoon.

Matthew Cocciadiferro was the only Highlander with multiple hits, going 3-for-4 on the day.

Freshman Burman produced the lone RBI for the Highlanders.
Three Ospreys earned three RBIs each, with Yahir Gurrola going 2-for-2 with two runs, Alex Merritt 2-for-3 with one run and Mac Wilson going 3-for-5 with two runs.
Brian Sondergard got the start for NJIT, (3-26, 0-6 ASUN), going five innings with three earned runs and a team-high three strikeouts.

James Sofield came in for relief with Sofield shutting down the Ospreys in the eighth.
Frank German, who is 6-0 on the season, earned the win for North Florida (25-13, 6-2 ASUN) lasting 6.1 innings, with Anthony Delany, Matthew Naylor and Tyler Dupont taking the remaining three innings.
The final game of the series will be played tomorrow at 12pm.
