Biography

2021: Played in 24 games with 22 starts, missing parts of the season due to injury...go-ahead two-run HR vs. Albany in the first round of the America East Tournament...season-high three hits vs. UMBC...hit his fourth HR of the season in season-finale against Nebraska at NCAA Regional.

2020: Saw action in four of 16 games after missing the first 11 due to injury in season cut short due to COVID-19 Pandemic...hit safely in three of four games played including a pair of two-hit games at UTRGV (3/7, 3/8)...knocked in a run in series opener at UTGRV (3/6).

2019: Started every game in right field for NJIT. … batted .249 with 43 hits, 29 RBI, 27 runs, 10 doubles, four home runs and one triple. … his 10 doubles ranked second on the team. … registered two four-RBI games this season -- at Norfolk State (Feb. 24), finishing 3-for-4 and vs. FGCU (May 10), going 1-for-4.

2018: Started 39 games. ... combined for a .207 batting average with 31 hits, 15 runs, 12 RBI, two doubles and two home runs and one triple.

2017: ASUN Conference All-Freshmen team honoree. ...The Highlanders top freshman notched a .277 batting average, ranking tied for first in doubles (14) and home runs (4) and tied for second on the team in hits (52). ... combined for a 7-for-15 performance, including three RBI and four runs in the Highlanders three-game series against USC Upstate. ... recorded first collegiate hit against High Point (2/18) and first home run at NC Central (Mar. 4).

Prior to NJIT: Helped guide Saint Joseph Regional in Montvale to the 2016 Big North United Championship game, defeating Bergen Catholic, 9-1, and Bergen County Tournament finals, again, defeating Bergen Catholic, 3-1.  Saint Joseph Regional advanced to the State Non-Public “A” finals against Seton Hall Prep.  The Green Knights, which finished with a 25-4 overall record, were named Bergen County Coaches Association Group 3-4 Team of the Year, ranked #1 in the top 25 by the Bergen Record and #2 team in New Jersey by MSG Varsity and Star Ledger.   Cocciadiferro earned all-New Jersey (MSG Varsity) Honorable Mention, all-League Big North first-team, all-Bergen County third-team and BCCA Lt. Thomas Evans Tournament Most Valuable Player.
