The NJIT men's lacrosse team heads to Hempstead, NY to take on Hofstra, for a 7pm night game at James M. Shuart Stadium on February 28.

ALL TIME SERIES
On March 1, 2016 the Highlanders fell to #8 Hofstra 19-4 at James M. Shuart Stadium.
Nick Marzullo and back-up Cameron Cronk shared goalkeeping duties that night, with Marzullo grabbing nine saves and Cronk posting a career-best six saves in the loss.
The Highlanders defense kept the Pride to only two goals in the fourth period, after getting outscored 17-3 in the first three quarters.

A LOOK AT THE PRIDE
Improving to 2-0 after a 10-8 win over Princeton, Hofstra look to keep their streak alive.
Hofstra was picked to finish third in the Colonial Athletic Association in 2017 and four players were picked for the 2017 Preseason All-CAA Men's Lacrosse team including Brendan Kavanagh, Kris Clarke, Tanner Griffin and Jack Concannon.
Josh Byrne was picked as an honorable mention, and so far leads the team in goals (6), assists (5) and points (11).
Freshman Ryan Tierney, who won CAA Rookie of the Week honors last week, is second in the team with four goals and three assists.
Brendan Kavanagh and Alex Moeser have four goals and three goals respectively for the Pride.
Kyle Gallagher, Hofstra's faceoff specialist is 16-35 on the circle and has a team-leading 10 ground balls.
In goal, is Jack Concannon who with his 2-0 record has grabbed 21 saves and a .553 save percentage.

A LOOK AT THE HIGHLANDERS
Coming off a record breaking game, Aaron Forster is one of the top scorers for the Highlanders. The sophomore posted four goals in NJIT's  9-8 loss to VMI on Saturday, tying the NJIT record for goals in a game.
Ryan Kaden and Ryan Callaghan are the Highlander leaders in points, each tallying four goals and two assists each.
Fellow Ryan, Ryan Darrow has five points so far with three goals and two assists.
Freshman John Tachon has anchored the NJIT defense and grabbed a team-leading 16 ground balls. With teammate Brett Goldstein, Tachon has a team-leading three caused turnovers. Tachon is also the Highlanders number one faceoff taker, posting 15 out of 46 wins.
NJIT goalie Nick Marzullo notched 15 saves in two out of three games so far this season. The junior currently has 38 saves with a .475 save percentage.

The Highlanders host their first game of 2017 on March 4 against Quinnipiac for a 12pm faceoff time.
