NEWARK, NJ—The NJIT women's tennis dropped a 6-1 decision to Fordham Saturday afternoon at the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.

Junior Natacha Minc picked up the lone victory for the Highlanders, defeating Fordham sophomore Gianna Insogna in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5.

Highlanders senior Nathalie Habegger and Fordham freshman Maia Balce battled through a hard-fought, three-set match, but it was Balce, the freshman, who came out on top, winning the match, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.

Freshman Mayar Eltony and Fordham junior Estelle Wong also played to three sets, but it was Wong who took home the win for Fordham, 6-2, 4-6, 6-1.

NJIT will look for its first victory of the season on Friday, February 17, as they welcome Seton Hall to the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility at 6 pm.
