NJIT will play the next six games at home, first hosting non-Division I opponent, St. Joseph's Brooklyn Monday night at 7pm in the Wellness and Events Center.

All-Time Series
NJIT leads the all-time series, 3-0. In the last meeting, NJIT had four players reach double-figures paced by
Danielle Tunstall's double-double, netting a team-high 19 points and 13 rebounds, as the Highlanders won convincingly, 87-53.
A Look at St. Joseph's College—Brooklyn
After finishing 9-16 overall a season ago, St. Joseph's College—Brooklyn enters Monday's game with a 4-4 record and returns junior guard Victoria Porcasi, who paces the Bears averaging 18.8 ppg and three-point field goals made (21).
Forwards Caitlyn Staab and Kelly O'Donnell lead the Bears on the boards, averaging 7.6 rpg and 7.5 rpg respectively. O'Donnell ranks second in scoring at 13.8 ppg and first in steals (17).
Last Time Out for the Bears
At halftime, the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's basketball team trailed Purchase State College by five, but 16 second half points from junior captain Victoria Porcasi powered the Bears to a double-digit victory. With the win, SJC evened their record at 4-4 and 2-2 in Skyline play.
Head Coach Tom Flahive
Alumnus Tom Flahive '75 took over a team that won the 2014-15 Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 17-12 mark. Flahive joined the Lady Bears after two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Division I St. Peter's University from 2011 to 2013, where he was responsible for all aspects of recruiting, scheduling and team travel as well as preparing scouting reports.
In his first season (2015-16) at the helm, the Bears finished 7-19.
Skyline Conference
St. Joseph's College Brooklyn, which held a dual membership in the small-college organization United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and in NCAA Division III Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference three seasons ago, opened a new era in 2015-16 in the Skyline Conference.
A Look at NJIT
NJIT is coming off a 67-36 loss at Binghamton. Freshman
Ellyn Stoll finished the game as the leading scorer for NJIT with 11 points. Red-shirt sophomore
Jillian Libby set a new career-high with nine rebounds. Her previous career high was eight against Wagner on November 12, 2016.
NJIT (0-10) is paced by redshirt junior
Tatianna Torres with 11.0 ppg and 19 steals followed by senior
Taj Lewis at 10.2 ppg and 5.5 rpg.
Wellness and Events Center
NJIT celebrated a Ribbon Cutting ceremony on November 10, 2017 to open the new state-of-the-art Wellness and Events Center nicknamed the "WEC" – which will feature a 3,500-seat basketball arena and compare favorably with many Division I mid-major facilities throughout the country, allowing NJIT to continue to grow their men's and women's basketball programs.
The WEC will be three stories high and its north side will be all windows, through which natural light will flood into the building. The tall windows will overlook the new athletic field, which will open in Fall 2018.
ASUN Conference
The Highlanders, who became the eighth full member of the A-Sun effective July 1, 2015, will begin its third season in the ASUN Conference, will have 15 games, home-and-away, against the other seven conference teams, three of which played in the 2017 post-season.
NJIT was selected sixth in the 2017 Preseason ASUN Conference poll, combining for 21 points ahead of USC Upstate (19 points) and Lipscomb (14 points).
After winning last year's ASUN Conference women's basketball championship title, FGCU was picked to repeat by the league's head coaches in the 2017-18. The Eagles garnered six first-place votes among the head coaches in the league, while also being selected first in the media poll.
