NEWARK, NJ – Senior
Blake Brancato was named NJIT Athletes of the Week for his performance at the 14
th Annual Highlander XC Challenge on Saturday.
Brancato ran the 8k race in 25:50.57, finishing first in the Division I results and second overall.
Brancato's time helped the Highlanders post a 3-0 record on the day, defeating Wagner 24-33, Saint Peter's 15-50, and Fairleigh Dickinson 17-46 at the meet.
Returning after an injury kept his out last year, Brancato has been the top Highlander finisher in all three meets he competed in so far this season.
