CARTERSVILLE, GA—
The NJIT men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the ASUN Conference Championship at Sam Smith Park on Saturday hosted by Kennesaw State.

The men's 8K race takes place at 8:30 a.m. with the women's 5K starting at 9:30 a.m. Live results will be available via Half-Mile Timing.

Men's Race

Lipscomb and North Florida enter as the favorites to capture the team title, while the individual medalist honors is up for grabs with 14 runners posting times of 25:30 or better this year.

Best Team ASUN Championship Finish: 6th, 2015
Best Individual ASUN Championship Finish: 20th; Blake Brancato, 2015 (24:44.28)

NJIT's best performance as a team came in 2015 when the Highlanders claimed sixth place; last year NJIT finished in seventh.

Brancato's time of 25:50.57 sits best among NJIT runners this year ahead of Ryan Budhu (26:44.65) and Gerard Gill (26:50.74)

Women's Race

The women's race will be a battle with three teams having multiple runners among the fastest 14 in the ASUN this season. Lipscomb owns five of the best performances in 2017 just ahead of Jacksonville (4) and North Florida (2).

Best Individual ASUN Championship Finish: 41st; Chloe Jelley, 2016 (20:12.89)

NJIT will be competing in just its third ASUN Championship, after finishing in eighth in the past two contests.

Kelly DiCristina (19:20.65) & Cassandra Raia (19:33.12) own the top times for NJIT this year and look to break the program championship record of 20:12.89

Chloe Jelley set the program championship record last year and enters with her best time of 20:00.3 in 2017.
