ORLANDO, FL – NJIT women's tennis opened Spring Break with a 5-2 loss to Buffalo on Thursday.

The Bulls (7-4) swept doubles play and were victorious in four out of the six matches in singles.

Freshman Rafaella Sampaio led the Highlanders (4-8) in first singles with a comeback win over Tanja Stonjanovska, 2-6, 6-3, 10-7.

The Highlanders other winner was sophomore Alba Rosas Garcia who defeated Laura Holterbosch 6-4, 6-3 in fourth singles.

NJIT will continue Spring Break play in Orlando on March 18 with an 11am match against UAlbany.
