UNIVERSITY PARK, PA—The NJIT men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision at #44 Penn State Sunday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions (9-0) swept the singles contests and won two doubles contests to earn the point and defeat the visiting Highlanders (2-2).

NJIT's Markus Schultz was the lone Highlander to battle out a three-set tilt.  Schultz, competing at first singles, dropped his first set against Constant De Bassetiere, 7-5, but bounced back in the second frame, 7-6 (7-5).  Penn State's La Bassetiere won the superset tiebreaker, 1-0 (10-4).

NJIT will return to action on Saturday at 1pm when the Highlanders hosted Fairfield at 1pm.
