NEWARK, NJ—Coming off a season-opening victory against Wagner, the NJIT women's basketball team will look for their first 2-0 start since 2005-06 when the Highlanders host non-Division I foe St. Joseph's College—Brooklyn on Tuesday at 7pm.
The last time NJIT started off the season 2-0 was in 2005-06, the final season competing at the Division II level, when the Highlanders defeated Kutztown (49-40) and Caldwell (61-57).

The game will be shown live on ESPN3 (all remaining NJIT home basketball games will be live on ESPN3).

All-Time Series
Tuesday will mark the third meeting between the two teams, with NJIT leading 2-0. Last season, the Highlanders defeated the visiting Bears, 78-41.
A Look at NJIT (1-0)
Senior guard
Alana Dudley scored a game-high 20 points, leading the Highlanders past, visiting Wagner, 68-45, in the season opener for both teams Saturday afternoon.
With the score tied 29-29 at halftime, the Highlanders pulled away in the second stanza outscoring, the, visiting Seahawks, 39-16, recording the first win of the season.
Dudley, who was four points shy her career-best 24 points at Kennesaw State accomplished a season ago, finished 7-for-16 from the field and 6-of-8 from the free throw line Saturday. The senior recorded four steals, which matches her personal-best, four rebounds and two assists.
Freshman
Danielle Tunstall, who made her college debut against Wagner, recorded a double-double with 12 points and game-high 14 rebounds (six-shy the NJIT program record), shooting 5-for-10 from the field and 2-of-4 at the free throw line.
Freshman
Amber Morgan dished out six assists in her collegiate debut.
NEXT ACTION
The Highlanders will visit Buckenll on November 17 at 7pm. Bucknell from the Patriot League advanced to the second round of the WNIT and finished with a 25-8 record.

A Look at St. Joseph's College—Brooklyn
After finished 7-19 overall a season ago, St. Joseph's College—Brooklyn returns leading scorer (18.0 ppg,7.8 reb, 2.2 ast) in junior guard
Destiny Marino, a second-team All-Skyline in 2015-16.
Sophomore guard
Victoria Porcasi, a two-time Skyline Rookie of the Week last year during her freshman campaign, averaged 13.9 ppg, 84.6 FT%, 2.0 3FGM/gm last year.
HEAD COACH TOM FLAHIVE
Alumnus Tom Flahive '75 took over a team that won the 2014-15 Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 17-12 mark. Flahive joined the Lady Bears after two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Division I St. Peter's University from 2011 to 2013, where he was responsible for all aspects of recruiting, scheduling and team travel as well as preparing scouting reports.
In his first season (2015-16) at the helm, the Bears finished 7-19.
SKYLINE CONFERNCE
St. Joseph's, which held a dual membership in the small-college organization United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and in NCAA Division III Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference two seasons ago, opened a new era in 2015-16 in the Skyline Conference.
