HOWELL, NJ--Despite another strong effort by Thomas Pyrka in net, an early two goal deficit and a missed offside call were too much for the Highlanders to overcome as Monmouth handed NJIT it's second CSCHC loss of the season, 4-2, at Howell Ice Arena Saturday night.

Down 2-0 after the first period, the Highlanders battled to get back in the game. 

Goals by Christpher Murphy and Matthew Lepinski and another by the Hawks made it 3-2 heading into the final period with the momentum clearly in the Highlander's favor. 

Unfortunately, the Hawks capitalized on a missed offside call for the final score to send NJIT home disappointed.
