NEWARK, NJ— After a seven-match road trip, the Highlanders return for three-straight home matches
, first hosting its ASUN opener at Kean University East Campus Facility on October 7 at 3pm against North Florida, followed by a 12Noon start against Jacksonville on October 9.

The Highlanders began conference play with the programs first-ever ASUN Conference victory, a 3-0 win against USC Upstate on September 24.
NJIT dropped two tight ASUN contests on the road last weekend with a 3-2 loss at Stetson and a 1-0 decision at FGCU. The deciding goals were scored in the 84th minute by Stetson and 89th by the Eagles.
The Highlanders 22 goals this season are the most by an NJIT squad since 2009 with 23. Six different players have scored multiple goals including a team-best five from
Neema Liverpool in 13 matches.
The five goals for Liverpool ties the NJIT Division I record for goals in a season with
Kori Washington, who netted five goal in 2007. Liverpool's eight career goals ranks third all-time in the Division I era (record held by
Kori Washington; 12), with two years ahead of her.

North Florida enters Friday's contest with a 4-6-2 overall mark, 0-3-0 mark in the conference. North Florida defeated NJIT, 3-0, last year in Jacksonville as the Ospreys outshot the Highlanders, 17-4.
The Ospreys have dropped each of the first three league matches by one goal. Jacksonville handed North Florida their first defeat in a 1-0 loss, when Maya Fischer scored on a penalty kick in the 74th minute. The
Ospreys suffered two, 2-1 defeats at the hands of ASUN leader Lipscomb, and second-place, Kennesaw State.
Alexis Bredeau leads North Florida with five goals on the season, which is the most by an Osprey since the 2013 season when Thea Linkfield tallied six.

In a hard-fought battle, the Jacksonville needed an extra period to decide their last match against Kennesaw State. The Owls scored the game-winner in the 94th minute to secure a 2-1 win.
All three goals were direct results of deflections; two came off of saves and the other on a shot hit off the crossbar. Sara Wicks finished the match with nine saves, and Rachel Henry posted the Dolphins' go-ahead goal just under the 30-minute mark.
The freshman forward currently ranks tied for second on the team in points (4) with one goal and two assists.
