NEWARK, NJ—NJIT women's soccer will conclude the home portion of the 2016 schedule on Saturday at 1pm when the Highlanders host ASUN Conference opponent Kennesaw State on Senior Day on the campus of Kean University's East Campus Facility.
Seven Highlander seniors will be recognized prior to the start of the match—

With two ASUN matches remaining in the regular season, NJIT, Kennesaw State and North Florida are tied for fourth place. All three teams have six points.
The top six teams in the eight-team conference will advance to the ASUN Tournament, with the top two teams earning byes into the second round and the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds hosting first-round matches.

NJIT is led by sophomores

Neema Liverpool, who have totaled 10 points each this season. The pair is tied for the NJIT Division I record for goals in a season with five (also held by
Kori Washington, who netted five goal in 2007).

Arianna Gerber ranks third in the ASUN for assists (6) and shots taken (52).
The Highlanders have now eclipsed their D-I program record for most goals in a season (23), previously held in 2009 after capturing a 1-0 victory vs. Jacksonville.
Saturday's contest will mark the second meeting between Kennesaw State and NJIT, with the Owls leading the all-time series, 1-0, after recording a 6-1 victory last season at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

With a win over NJIT (6-7-2, 2-3-0) and a Jacksonville loss or tie, Kennesaw State will secure a berth in the ASUN Tournament, based on the Owls' victory over the Highlanders.
The Owls, which has surpassed its win total from a year ago, is seeking its fifth consecutive ASUN Tournament appearance.
Kennesaw State sees three seniors as the Owls leading goal scorers, Kim Fincher, Cassidy Kemp, and Shannon Driscoll. Each have netted five goals for the season. The Owls continues to lead the ASUN with 27 goals, only one more than FGCU.
Senior Kim Fincher leads the Owls and ranks third in the ASUN with 15 points (5 goals, 5 assists). Senior Shannon Driscoll is second on the club and tied for fourth in the conference with 14 points (5 goals, 4 assists).
