NEWARK, NJ—Visiting NYIT won the doubles point but the NJIT men's tennis team fought back to win the next 4 of 6 singles contests edging the Bears, 4-3, Friday in The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
NJIT, winners of its last three matches, improved to 7-4 on the season and a perfect 6-0 at home with one contest remaining against St. Joseph's on April 4 at 1pm.

NJIT doubles pair
Markus Schultz and
Arnaud Holl teamed for an 8-3 victory at first doubles defeating NYIT duo David Jiang and Nicolas Jubera. The Bears earned the doubles point topping NJIT at second and third doubles.
NJIT's Schultz was a double-winner on the day, taking a straight set victory at first singles topping Jiang, 6-0, 6-1.
Junior
Andres Alban was a 7-5, 6-3 winner at the second spot defeating Julio Pulido.
Freshman
Jan Cimrman combined for a 6-3, 6-4 victory at fourth singles while
Luka Kaic won by identical scores, 6-3, 6-3 at the sixth spot topping NYIT's Jubera.
NJIT will have a quick turnaround when the Highlanders visit Drexel on Saturday at 2pm in Philadelphia.
