NEWARK, NJ—The NJIT women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision in the 2015 spring season opener to visiting LIU Brooklyn Saturday afternoon at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility
The lone win for the home team came at fourth singles in a three set tilt. Newcomer
Alba Rosas Garcia, who joined the team in January and hails from Barcelona, Spain, made her collegiate debut Saturday. Rosas won the opening set, 6-3, as LIU Brooklyn's Isabella Wagener took the second frame, 6-4, forcing a third set. Rosas Garcia bounced back in the third set to earn the victory, 6-2.
