NEWARK, NJ -NJIT women's tennis athlete Carolina Zanotta from Piracicaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil has been selected as Female Athlete of the Week for her performance at the 2014 West Point Invitational hosted by Army.

The senior won by default over Alyssa Rosello from Marist in the Flight A Consolation round. She then dropped an 8-5 decision in the quarterfinals to UMass's Arielle Griffin.

In Flight A doubles competition, Zanotta and teammate Ines Vujkovac wont by default in the first round against Seton Hall's Marisa Quevedo and Luize Liva Stike and then was downed in the second round 8-1 by Syracuse's Komal Safdar and Valeria Salazar.

Zanotta and Vujkovac were the only two players to represent the Highlanders in the Army Invitational.
