​PHILADELPHIA–Senior Irene Cocero registered a pair of wins in the pre-qualifying singles draw at the 2025 ITA Northeast Regional hosted by UPenn at the Hamlin and Hecht Tennis Centers.

Cocero, a senior from Alcala De Henares, Spain, won in straight sets, 7-6, 5-2 over Lehigh's Ronit Khromchenko in the round of 64.

She followed up with a win over Seton Hall's Kira Farrakhova in the round of 32 with a 7-6, 6-1, 10-2 victory, moving to the main draw.

UP NEXT
Doubles will begin Friday morning, followed by singles for the main draw.
