KINGSTON, NY—The NJIT Rugby team played it second match of the Spring 2014 season against SUNY New Paltz of the Tri-State Rugby Conference.
The Highlanders played a dominant game winning the day, with the A side winning 65-5 and the B side winning 37-0.
Both matches were a total team effort with the scoring being spread out amongst many of its players, including first season players.
The Club is now 2–0 and will play at Vassar College who finished last year as the Division II Rugby runner-up.
The team will play against a very experienced program that has been around for over 20 years.
Head Coach Mark Petraglia added, "The team sees the match against Vassar as a true challenge against the best opponent they will play this spring or in the short history of the team."
