PHILADELPHIA—NJIT junior hurdler John Porteous placed fourth in the men's 400 meter hurdles Friday morning at the Penn Relays at Franklin Field.

Porteous was the top finisher out of his section (section 5) earning fourth overall with a time of 51.81 and setting a new school record.  Roxroy Cato from St. Augustine's captured the individual title with a time of 50.70.

Porteous will return back to the track this afternoon with the 4x100 relay team which consists of Emmanuel Agyen, Jason Chippy and Adam Morgan.
