NEWARK, NJ—After 13 days off since the NJIT women's basketball team last played, the Highlanders will host its only non-Division I foe, Rutgers-Newark, on President's Day, Monday, February 17 at 7pm in the Fleisher Athletic Center.

Michael Ventola, as well as an in-game real-time stat feed. Audio coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. with tip off set for 7 p.m.
The "Play4Kay" game is part of the Jimmy V Foundation, in honor of the late Kay Yow, former head coach of North Carolina State's women's basketball team.

NJIT's last scheduled contest against Hofstra on February 13, was postponed due to heavy snowfall and wintery mix that hit the Northeast area.
Rutgers-Newark, which competes in NCAA Division III, was 19-10 last year and the campuses of NJIT and Rutgers-Newark face each other on a several-block stretch divided by Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Last time out on the court for NJIT, freshman forward Micah Jones scored 12 of her game-high 18 points in the last 11 minutes, as Southern Illinois University Edwardsville came away with a 59-54 victory over visiting NJIT.

Martina Matejcikova's 12 points, four rebounds and two steals. Forward
Uju Nwankwo added nine points and eight rebounds for NJIT.
Robinson leads the Highlanders this season as the only double-figure scorer with 11.2ppg. She has scored in double-figure 13 times and is shooting 59 percent from the field (124-210).
Matejcikova ranks second on the team averaging 9.1ppg and 26 blocks while Nwankwo tops the team with 8.7rpg and 37 combined blocks, ranking the 6-foot forward in the top 100 nationally in both categories.
Rutgers-Newark, coming off of a 19-10 season which was capped by reaching the NJAC and ECAC Metro Championship semifinal rounds, under 13th-year head coach Kevin Morris.
The Scarlet Raiders were selected the "Dark Horse" in the 2013-14 New Jersey Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. Rutgers-Newark was picked to finish fourth behind unanimous favorite Montclair State, William Paterson and The College of New Jersey.
Rutgers-Newark enters Monday's contest with a 10-13 overall record after a 60-55 home victory over Rowan. Prior to the victory on Saturday, the Scarlet Knights had dropped its previous four contests.
