NEWARK, NJ—The NJIT women's tennis team blanked visiting Saint Peter's, 7-0, Sunday at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.

The NJIT women won all six singles contests in straight sets and swept the doubles contests Sunday.

Ksenia Kuzmenko and Jana Luste started off the match blanking Saint Peter's, 8-0, over Alexandra Livingston and Joniesa Williams.  Kuzmenko won by straight sets at first singles, 6-0, 6-1.

Doubles partners Carolina Zanotta and Natalia Melibeu competed at second doubles coming out on top 7-2 but did not finish the match against Adina Ungurean-Halagian and Ivana Grbelja.  The Brazilian natives both won in straight sets in singles competition with Melibeu at third singles, 6-1, 6-2 and Zanotta at the fourth spot, 6-2, 6-1.

At third doubles, Monika Graff and Hannelore MacDonald defeated Saint Peter's Vanessa Vogel and Jessica Nowodgrodzki, 8-3.  Graff was a 6-4, 6-1 winner at second singles while MacDonald won by identical scores, 6-0, 6-0 at fifth singles.

Megan Guidry won 6-2, 6-1 at sixth singles for the Highlanders.

NJIT will return to action on Saturday at 10:30am when the Highlanders host Fordham at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
