Box score

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ
—TCU posted its 12th women's volleyball win in as many tries Friday afternoon, sweeping NJIT 3-0 (25-22, 25-11, 25-16) in the second match for both teams in the SHU Invitational hosted by Seton Hall.

Earlier in the day, the Highlanders had lost, 0-3, to the host team, while TCU had swept Boston College.

Against NJIT, the victorious Horned Frogs featured a dominant attack, as their four top hitters in the match combined for 36 kills, with just one error. The team attack percentage for the winners was .390 (45 kills, 4 errors, 105 attempts).

TCU's two top hitters were both error-free. Kristen Hester finished with 14 kills in 26 attempts (.538 attack pct.) and Jordan Raines had 10 kills in 26 attempts (.385).

Megan Munce finished with 31 assists for the Horned Frogs and her two service aces led the winners to a slight 5-4 advantage over NJIT in that category.

On defense, Sarah Joeckel came up with 24 digs, a very high total for a three-set match, to lead TCU on the floor. The blocking game wasn't a huge factor (5-2 in favor of TCU), but Stephanie Holland and Mattie Burleson led their team with two block assists apiece.

Janet Snell, who was NJIT's top performer in the loss to Seton Hall, led her team's attack in the second match of the day, checking in with a team-best 11 kills. Junior Anna Mercado finished with 27 assists.

Cathy Leung had three of the four service aces for the Highlanders in the match.

NJIT had two players with double-figure digs totals—freshman Camilla Tinari (14) and senior Audrey Snell (11). Fernanda Lima had a block solo and a block assist to pace the Highlanders at the net.

The Highlanders have one match remaining in the challenging SHU Invitational. They will tangle with Boston College on Saturday at noon.
