STONY BROOK, NY – Stony Brook swept to a 7-0 victory over visiting NJIT Saturday afternoon in men's tennis action.

Freshman Petr Rousar went the distance at first singles with Stony Brook's Ivan Rummel.  Rousar knocked off Rummel in the first set, 6-4, but Rummel bounced back for a 6-2, 6-4 victory in the final two sets.

NJIT's Fraser Croad, playing at fifth singles fell in a three-set tilt against Stony Brook's Ryan Schmitz.  Croad topped Schmitz, 7-6, in the first set but Schmitz battled back in the next two sets to claim the point, 7-5, 10-5.

The Highlanders will return to action on Sunday when the team faces Temple and LaSalle.
