BRONX, NY – The Fordham women's tennis team improved to 2-0 on the young fall season with a 5-2 victory over visiting NJIT Wednesday afternoon at the Hawthorne/Rooney Courts.
 
Fordham took four out of six singles matches from the Highlanders and swept the doubles contests.
 
The two winners on the day for NJIT were Monika Graff and Jana Luste.
 
Graff, competing at the second singles spot defeated Sarah Ali in straight sets, 7-5, 6-1.  Luste was victorious at fourth singles topping Hanna Fritzinger, 6-3, 6-4.
 
The women's tennis team will return to action this weekend at the Hofstra Invitational.
