LOUDONVILLE, NY – The NJIT women's tennis team recorded a pair of 6-1 victory's Saturday afternoon over Hartford and Siena

NJIT won five of the six singles matches and two of the three doubles contests against Siena. 

Highlander duo Nina Mayevska and Isha Toor teamed for an 8-4 win a first doubles.  Mayevska defeated Sandhu 6-2, 6-1 at first singles.  Toor, competing at third singles won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1 over  Jess Asselin.

Anine Lovdal and Ana Lidon were 8-5 winners at the second doubles for NJIT.  Lovdal topped Siena's Nicole Ross, 6-0, 6-1 at fourth singles while Lidon won by identical scores, 6-0, 6-0 at the second spot.

Senior Fanny Aizier was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at fifth singles. 

Siena's only win came at sixth singles.

In the first match of the day, NJIT defeated Hartford 6-1.  

Mayevska and Toor started off the match with an 8-5 win a first doubles for NJIT while Lovdal and Lidon followed with an 8-1 victory at the second spot.

Mayevska and Lidon won by identical scores at first and second singles, 6-2, 6-1.  Toor was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at third singles.  Lovdal recorded an 6-3, 6-1 win at the fourth spot as senior Aizier added a 6-1, 6-1 win at fifth singles.

Emily Whillhoft was the only winner for Hartford at sixth singles.

The Highlanders return to action on Sunday at Stony Brook.
