Women’s Tennis Sweeps Saint Peter’s 7-0

Iulia Doci -- 6-0 on the season at first singles

JERSEY CITY, NJ -- The New Jersey Institute of Technology women's tennis team defeated Saint Peter's, 7-0, Sunday afternoon.

NJIT won all the singles matches and three doubles contests.

Senior Iulia Doci had a strong day for the Highlanders, winning first singles, 6-3, 6-3 while teaming up with Isha Toor to win first doubles, 8-2. Doci boosted her singles mark to 6-0 on the season at first singles.

Toor, also captured her match at fifth singles, 6-0, 6-1. Anine Lovdal and Ana Lidon combined to win second doubles for the Highlanders, 8-2, while Lovdal won second singles, 6-1, 6-2, and Lidon was an 6-3, 6-3 winner at third singles. Fanny Aizier and Dasa Stanimirovic added points for the Highlanders at fourth and sixth singles.

The Highlanders, now 5-1 on the season, will host Howard on Saturday February 14 at 8pm at Tenafly Racquet Club.
