WEST CALDWELL, NJ -- The New Jersey Institute of Technology women's tennis team rolled to a 6-1 win over visiting Sacred Heart Saturday night at Tiger Tennis Fitness.

The Highlanders, 4-1, won five of the six singles matches and two out of three doubles contests. Sacred Heart picked up wins at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.

Senior Iulia Doci teamed with Ana Lidon for an 8-3 win in first doubles, before scoring a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles. Lidon won with identical scores 6-3, 6-3 at second singles.

Newcomer Anine Lovdal, recorded her first collegiate win at No. 3 singles over Sacred Heart's Elizabeth Harrington, 6-4, 7-5.  Isha Toor and Fanny Aizier were winners at No. 4 and No. 5 singles.  Doubles partners Toor and Loudal were winners at No. 2 doubles posting an 8-2 victory.

NJIT will return to action Sunday when they travel to Saint Peter's for a 1:30pm match.
